Ultrasound technology is a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging internal organs to help diagnose and detect illness in your pet. Ultrasound is also used in addition to or as an alternative to x-ray for pregnancy verification. Anesthesia is not typically needed for an ultrasound, but may be necessary in some cases. Most of our ultrasound appointments are scheduled as a drop off in the morning, with a pick up consultation the same afternoon. Occasionally, we may send images out for further consultation with results available in a few days.
